Cholesterol is a kind of lipid, which is synthesized mainly in the liver, also absorbed from food.

 

Cholesterol is carried to every part of body by the lipoprotein in blood. There are different kinds of lipoprotein include:

 

Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL)

 

 

"bad" cholesterol

 

* Culprit of vascular atherosclerosis

High Density Lipoprotein (HDL)

 

"good" cholesterol

 

* Transport extra cholesterol back to our liver

 

Avoid:

pork brain

squid

viscera

fat meat

egg yolk

butter

whole milk

 

 

Encourage:

fiber-rich food, fruit, vegetables, beans

Moderate exercise can raise the plasma HDL.
