Healthy School Project Competition 2026–2027

Diverse Creative Learning, Healthy Living with Peers”

The “Healthy School Project Competition 2026–2027” is now open for applications from secondary schools in Hong Kong. Schools are warmly invited to encourage student participation. This Competition is specifically designed for secondary school students and aims to promote healthy lifestyles within the school community through a student-led approach, while enhancing students' awareness of health-related issues, fostering self-directed learning, and supporting the cultivation of a healthy school environment.

This year’s theme, “Diverse Creative Learning, Healthy Living with Peers”, encourages students to integrate knowledge from at least two subject areas and incorporate peer support elements to promote a healthy school environment. Through this process, students will deepen their understanding of the interrelationship among physical, mental, and social health, strengthen cross-disciplinary thinking, and foster mutual support among peers.

Competition categories

  • Junior Team: S.1 to S.3 or IB Grades 7 to 9
  • Senior Team: S.4 to S.6 or IB Grades 10 to 12

Each team should consist of four to six students, and each school may submit up to six proposals.

Competition stages
The Competition will be conducted in four stages:

  1. Each team is required to submit a project proposal.
  2. After assessment, a total of 16 shortlisted teams (eight from each category) will be selected. Each shortlisted team will receive sponsorship of up to HK$3,000 on a reimbursement basis to implement its health promotion project at school. The teams will then submit a five-minute video and a one-page report.
  3. The teams will meet with the Judging Panel for presentation and discussion.
  4. Finally, eight finalist teams (four from each category) will advance to the Final Competition and Award Presentation Ceremony to showcase their project outcomes.

Winning teams will receive cash prizes and book vouchers, while the participating schools and students of the 16 shortlisted teams will each receive a Certificate of Participation.
