Theme: “Healthy Lifestyle and Emotional Health”

Leading a "Healthy Lifestyle" is one of the learning goals of the school curriculum in Hong Kong. The Education Bureau encourages schools to implement Healthy School Policies to help students achieve favorable physical, psychological and social well-being so as to foster students' whole-person development. In recent years, both teachers and students have had to adapt to the new normal of learning and teaching due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the new learning modes, students’ mental health condition still requires constant attention. Besides, the World Health Organization predicts that by 2030, depression will be the leading cause of global burden, highlighting the importance of emotional health. In view of the existing school policies, you are invited to write a proposal covering creative, feasible & pragmatic measures to improve students' health habits within the school and create a healthy environment that benefits their daily lives, learning, and work of both teachers and students.

Each team (4-6 students) will contribute a proposal related to the above theme, execute the proposed measures, document the process & observations/findings, and finally submit a written report & a 5-minute video. Projects will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges. The best 3 projects in each group, in order of scores, will receive prizes of HK$30,000 (including $5,000 book voucher), HK$20,000 (including $4,000 book voucher), and HK$10,000 (including $3,000 book voucher), plus certificate and trophy respectively; a meritorious award of HK$5,000 and certificate each will be presented to the six finalists' teams.
